UPDATE: Statement From Eastern Washington University On Death Of Student In Car Crash

CHENEY, Wash. - EWU student Adam O. Morales passed away early this morning in a single car accident in Cheney. The accident report information should be coming from the Cheney Police Department.

Adam was a 21-year old sophomore from Grandview, WA., majoring in Computer Information Systems. It is unfortunate to lose anyone from our close community, but it is particularly tragic with someone so young. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Adam’s family and friends. The other two young men in the car were friends, but not EWU students. (our records do not show them ever attending here).

Counseling services are available for students by calling 359-2366 or by visiting the Counseling and Psychological Services Office in 225 Martin Hall.

SPOKANE, Wash. - If you're near 2nd and Division in downtown Spokane, you may hear something unpleasant. It's a high pitched beeping sound coming from the nearby 7-Eleven.  "It works great sometimes in crowd dispersal applications...the military's used it...so it is a useful tool," said Officer Josh Laiva of the Spokane Police Department.
