Chiefs, WHL Announce Pre-Season Schedule

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Chiefs are set to play seven games during the 2014 Western Hockey League pre-season, beginning with a matchup against the Portland Winterhawks in Everett on Friday, August 29.

The Chiefs will host one home pre-season game on Thursday, September 11 against the rival Tri-City Americans at Eastern Washington University’s University Recreation Center, tentatively scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time.

The Chiefs will compete in two pre-season tournaments, playing three games in Everett on August 29-31, and two games in Kennewick (Tri-City) on September 4-6. Spokane finishes their pre-season with a final game against Tri-City in Kennewick on September 13.

The full league pre-season schedule announced by the WHL today includes 66 total games between August 26 and September 14, and is available on www.whl.ca.

The full WHL regular season schedule is expected to be announced tomorrow, June 25 at 10 a.m.
