UPDATE: Russell Wilson visits Alianna as she hopes to walk for the first time!

UPDATE: SEATTLE, Wash. - Five days after enduring a nearly 12-hour surgery to hopefully walk for the first time, Alianna Valdez had her wish come true! She got to meet Russell Wilson! Wilson stopped by Seattle Children's Hospital to visit Alianna on Tuesday. Alianna  was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was just 3-years-old.

Her legs have been stuck in the bent position for years and are finally straight!. Initially, Alianna was a little nervous to have the surgery but decided to go through with it when she heard she could get the chance to meet her favorite football player.

Thank you to everyone who shared Alianna's story and tweeted or Facebooked Russell Wilson! Alianna is one happy girl this morning.

UPDATE: MOSES LAKE, Wash. -Alianna Valdez came through a nearly 12-hour surgery on Thursday at Seattle Children's Hospital and after almost 10 years in a wheelchair, she may get the chance to walk for the first time. Alianna was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was 3-years-old and although her legs were been stuck in a bent position for years, they are finally straight!

Alianna is a huge Seattle Seahawks fan and she built up the courage to go through this painful surgery when she heard she might get a chance to meet Russell Wilson who frequently visits the hospital. She even chose one blue cast and one green cast to show support for her favorite team.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Alianna Valdez, of Moses Lake, WA, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was just three years old and has never been able to walk. However, at the age of 13, that may about to change. Alianna is having surgery on June 26th at Seattle Children's Hospital and it's a procedure that will hopefully allow her to walk for the first time.

Alianna is terrified of having surgery as she did not have a good experience with the first surgery she had several years ago. Initially, she turned down this surgery, even though her parents wanted her to do it. When she heard though, that Russell Wilson frequently makes visits to the Seattle Children's Hospital, she built up the courage to go through with the surgery all for the chance to meet her favorite football player and maybe, just maybe, learn to walk for the first time.

    KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Orange County Sheriff's Office in Florida reports a man got busted for stealing a vehicle Monday and was taken into custody while he was watching the solar eclipse.  Officers say 22-year-old Jocsan Feliciano Rosado stole a car Monday and was being followed by deputies when he stopped at a store to buy a welder's helmet in order to safely view the eclipse.

The assistant director of Greater Spokane County Meals on Wheels says he woke up to a security alert early Sunday morning and what he found baffled him. "Somebody had attempted to steal some copper piping by ripping the spigot out of the side of the wall," said Mark Laskowski, the Assistant Director with Greater Spokane County Meals on Wheels.
