YAKIMA, WA - A dramatic scene from a Yakima court room Wednesday as Nicole Fragoso appealed for a lower bail. Fragoso is accused of killing 72-year-old Russ Bartlett while driving her motor home last month.

Dozens of Bartlett's family members came to the courtroom to urge the judge not to lower her bail. Russ' son spoke on behalf of the family.

"Our family has suffered a great deal at Mrs. Fragoso's expense," Matt Bartlett said. "We do not wish for any other family to have to suffer at the hands of this woman. Your honor, please help make sure she is present to take responsibility for her actions."

The judge did refuse Fragoso's plea for a lower bail. Troopers say Fragoso smelled like alcohol and blew a 0.095 the day of the accident.
