FRANKLIN COUNTY, WA - Detectives are still trying to find the suspects who allegedly broke into a house north of Pasco, robbed a family inside and injured one person.
NBC Right Now caught up with the lead investigator in this case who said there are still no suspects. Detectives were following some new leads Monday.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the house on Decker road early Friday after the people living there reported five men broke in, yelling they were from the FBI and demanded money and jewelry, one man suffered a slash wound from a knife and was treated at a local hospital.
Detective Jason Nunez, Franklin County Sheriff's Office said he does not know for sure if this family was targeted or if it was a random incident.
"At this point I really can't say if people in the neighborhood should be worried cause at this point, I don't know if they were targeted or if it was random or if maybe the suspects might have known something about them," Detective Nunez said
He also added that deputies did not find any suspicious or illegal items inside the family's home.
The intruders did get away with cash from the family's most recent pay checks.
