UPDATE: BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to up to 67 years in prison for beating and burning his girlfriend's 3-year-old son, then going to the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.

Twenty-eight-year-old Roland Dow and the boy's mother were arrested at the amusement park in November 2012, two weeks after leaving the boy at a hospital with a brain injury, head-to-toe bruises and burns on his arm and hand.

Dow was convicted in June of 11 charges alleging he assaulted the boy, failed to get medical help, coached him to lie and secretly recorded a social worker's visit.

Dow was sentenced Thursday to 25 1/2 to 67 years in prison. The boy's mother, Jessica Linscott, is serving 2 1/2 to 7 years in prison for child endangerment and witness tampering.

BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) - Prosecutors are recommending 30 to 60 years in prison for a man who beat his girlfriend's 3-year-old son and then went to the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.
    
Defense lawyers are recommending 5 to 10 years for 28-year-old Roland Dow, of Plaistow. He's being sentenced Thursday in Brentwood.
    
Dow and the boy's mother were arrested at the amusement park in 2012, two weeks after leaving the toddler at a hospital with a brain injury, head-to-toe bruises and burns on his arm and hand.
    
Jessica Linscott pleaded guilty and is serving up to seven years in prison.
    
Dow was convicted of 11 assaulting the boy, failing to get him medical help, coaching him to lie to a social worker and secretly recording the social worker's visit. He was acquitted of burning the boy.

    VAN HORN, Texas (AP) - The FBI is investigating after one U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent died and another was seriously injured while on duty in South Texas.  Border Patrol spokesman Douglas Mosier says Agent Rogelio Martinez and his partner were taken to a hospital Sunday after they were hurt while responding to activity in the Big Bend area. The 36-year-old Martinez died at the hospital.
