UPDATE: Walla Walla Police Investigating After Man Dies From Gunshot Wound

UPDATE/WALLA WALLA, WA. - The Walla Walla Police Department is continuing to investigate a fatal shooting on Friday.

Officers say Ramiro Lopez Jr., 20, died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Lopez was with three other people when the shooting happened. They are being questioned and are cooperating with investigators.

Police believe the shooting may have been accidental. They are not looking for any suspects.

"It's appearing that it was accidental however the investigation is continuing, but there's still some more evidence that needs to be gathered that we haven't received yet," said Tim Bennett, Public Information Officer for the Walla Walla Police Department.

The semi-automatic pistol used in the shooting had been reported stolen earlier in August.

WALLA WALLA, WA- Officers are investigating a shooting that happened Friday Morning.

A 20-year-old male was shot Friday morning at his home in Walla Walla on West Chestnut Street near Sprague Street.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and died shortly after arrival.

Officers are not releasing any more details about the incident until and are investigating the possible causes of the shooting and if anyone else was involved.

The autopsy was performed Friday afternoon and more information should be released Saturday.

Missoula County sheriff's officials say Trenton Johnson of Missoula died from his injuries Wednesday afternoon in a hospital. Johnson worked for a Merlin, Oregon-based private firefighting contractor called Grayback Forestry Inc.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The FBI is looking for a convicted felon they believe is involved in trafficking methamphetamine in Montana.  33-year-old Chase Storlie initially had a federal arrest warrant issued for him in Montana on June 9 for failure to appear at his arraignment in Helena. Storlie was previously charged on April 26, 2017, with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute meth.
