SWXRightNow.com -- Eastern Washington University is ready to kick off the earliest start to the season in Eagle football history when they host Sam Houston State on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 12:35 p.m. PT on ESPN.

SWX-TV is all set to bring you unrivaled coverage of Eastern's historic game. Sam Adams will be live in Cheney, Wash. during KHQ Local News Saturday. Then switch over to SWX for a special hour long pregame show starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by a half-hour long behind-the-scenes look at EWU football "Inside Eastern Washington Football" at 12:00 p.m. all leading up to the game vs. the Bearkats.

The pregame show will stream live on ESPN3 and will feature special looks at some of the Eagle players and alumni guest host, ESPN's Colin Cowherd. The Grayland, Wash. native attended Eastern Washington and joined EWU Athletics downtown to get Eagles fans excited for the big game and a signing session for his book "You Herd Me! I'll Say it if Nobody Else Will."
