KENNEWICK, WA- The Gesa Carousel of Dreams will open in the first week of September after the idea started more than 10 years ago.

Organizers said the Gesa Carousel of Dreams will not only have a carousel, but will feature a kitchen, concession stand, and a banquet room.

After crews are finished, the public will be able to use the facility to ride the carousel or have events.

“We have the sticker from the state that says you can ride this ride, and we're going to have our final on the building tomorrow,” said Eric VanWinkle, foundation board chairman.

VanWinkle said crews are laying down nearly 2,000 tiles on the floor and 900 of them have the names of people who donated to the Gesa Carousel of Dreams.
