KENNEWICK, WA- A father who lost his teen son a year ago has found a way to ease the pain by starting a youth outreach program called Cushions.

Chris Snapp thought of the idea to start the youth outreach program called Cushions and wanted to have a “Coins in our Cushions” treasure hunt to raise money for the program.

The treasure hunt started at My Friends' Place and went to other outreach resources in the area to promote those programs.

“We want people thinking about how we can take a proactive step and to do something other than all the bad things we're hearing about on the on the news,” said Snapp.

The treasure hunt ended at the Events at Sunset Center with live music, food, and prizes.  Snapp hopes to make the hunt a yearly activity for the community.

BOZEMAN, Wash. - There are things from my childhood that would have been useful for me to remember. Anything beyond 8th grade math comes to mind. I'm constantly forgetting important things my wife is telling me, but ask me to quote every Emilio Estevez line from Young Guns and I'm alright. It's been a life-saver on more than one occasion.
