    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) - The wife of a bicycle rider who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Spokane Valley says he had worked late Monday and was going fishing afterward in the Spokane River when he was struck. Tina Murray says Robert Royer hoped to catch a fish for his 6-year-old daughter.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.- Robert Royer's fiancée Tina Murray says the fact that he is gone has not fully registered with her yet. She says it is such a tough situation and everything happened so fast. “I want to tell her again and again, I really do love you, don't let this end,” Tina said reading a poem Robert had written for her.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

KHQ.COM - One person is dead after a hit and run near I-90 & Park Rd. in Spokane Valley. It happened around 1:30 am on Tuesday. 

At this point police do not have a suspect description but are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

The victim has not been identified but we do know he was a male in his 40's who was riding his bike north on Park near the intersection of Park and Cataldo off of the Broadway exit.

The incident closed off roads and a nearby park for several hours.

    GRANT COUNTY, Wash. - Air Force explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) responded to SR17 near SR170 in Warden on Thursday morning. A retired Air Force veteran and historian located a crash site from 1955, where a F86 Delta Interceptor went down. While digging around, the historian unearthed a live 2.75 inch missile warhead. EOD rendered the warhead safe on site. There were no injuries.
