OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. - UPDATE:
OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash.- Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers says deputies from his office will be in Eugene, Oregon on Tuesday to interview 16-year-olds Shalin Alltus and Parker Bachtold. The two teens were taken into custody in Douglas County Monday afternoon. They were wanted for questioning in the death of 39-year-old Patrick Alltus.

Alltus' body was found Sunday evening. Deputies responded to Alltus' home after someone called to report they'd just found their friend dead. The Okanogan County Sheriff's office would not release the exact cause of death, but did say there was evidence at the scene that indicated there was "a lot of violence."

The Washington State Patrol Crime Lab has finished processing the crime scene at 151 Hosheit Rd. The only information they are releasing at this time is that the victim, Patrick Alltus, was shot several times. An autopsy will be scheduled for Alltus soon.

Shalin is the niece of the murder victim and she and her boyfriend Bachtold were seen in Oregon  on October 1. They were stopped by law enforcement for an undisclosed reason but were not arrested. However, on Monday evening, law enforcement in Oregon found the teens again, still driving the murder victim's vehicle, and put them in custody.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers says the focus now is to figure out what exactly led to the death of Patrick Alltus. "We're not sure what led up to it, what happened," said Sheriff Rogers. "So that's what we're trying to find out. "

Deputies in Okanogan County are searching for two teens possibly connected to the death of a 39-year-old Riverside man. Deputies responded to a home on Hosheit Road east of Riverside Sunday night after someone called them to report they had just found their friend dead. Deputies went inside the home and found 39-year-old Patrick M. Alltus dead. The Okanogan County Sheriff's Office told KHQ they are not sure of an exact cause of death, but they did say there was evidence at the scene that indicated there was "a lot of violence."

Right now, deputies are searching for two teenagers who lived at the house. Deputies say the two teenagers, Parker M. Bachtold and Shalin E. Alltus took Patrick Alltus' pickup and they may be armed with a shotgun and a pistol. Alltus' pickup is a 2004 Grey Ford F 250 with Washington license C90793A.

It is not clear when Patrick Alltus was killed, but the Okanogan County Sheriff's Office said they were notified that the two teenagers were stopped by law enforcement in Oregon on October 1, and now they are working with Oregon law enforcement to determine a possible location of the two teenagers.

Parker M. Bachtold is 16-years-old, 6'0" 220 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Shalin E. Alltus is 16-years-old, 5'1" 125 pounds with green eyes and multi-colored hair.
