KHQ.com - I never exactly know what I'm going to stumble across when perusing the internet. It's never really clear how I end up on some of the sites I do. One minute I'm reading about the latest on ISIS, and the next I find myself watching a video of two kangaroos having a street fight. At least that's what happened on Tuesday. Somehow, I'm not exactly sure what happened, but without even realizing it, I blinked a few times and became aware that for five minutes I had watched two kangaroos have a street fight set to music from The Nutcracker

*Note: The original video I viewed contained Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker. However, the video we were given permission to embed has no audio attached to it. This however isn't necessarily a bad thing, because it allows you to plug in your own soundtrack! I recommend Turkey in the Straw if you're looking for classic comedic effect, The Rocky Soundtrack if you're looking for something more traditional and obligatory, or You're The Best Around for a little more obscure, yet equally inspirational soundtrack. Not sure why, but Footloose by Kenny Loggins probably works the best. In my humble opinion. *Side Note to my *Note: If you want to see the infamous dance scene in Footloose without the music, CLICK HERE, then come back and read more about this kangaroo fight (and with that hyperlink, I just answered my own question about how I get to random videos on the internet).

Back to the kangaroos. It's like I blacked out. It was so hypnotic. I'm pretty sure my boss stopped by my desk and either asked me questions to which I blindly and involuntarily answered 'yes' or 'sure' to, or gave me some sort of task, at which I'm sure I will now fail thanks to these two kangaroos. It's like that Seinfeld episode when George's boss gave him something to do, but George wasn't exactly sure what, but he also couldn't go back and ask. I'm now faced with that thanks to these two kangaroos. But I'm not the least bit sorry about it.

These two kangaroos spent five minutes boxing each other. There was punching. There was kicking. They stood on their tails and delivered punches and kicks at the same time! All set to the beautiful, majestic sounds of Waltz of the Flowers. However, the bad aspect about this video (if there is one), is that we never get to see who wins. The video just sort of...stops. There's no decisive winner. One kangaroo doesn't admit defeat, forfeit and bounce off into loserville. They are both so evenly matched! This sudden ending without resolution leaves you with the same anger you felt when The Sopranos cut to black and you're left with Don't Stop Believin' by Journey.

"What!?"

"Did Tony Soprano die?!"

"Which Kangaroo won!?"

Same thing. Same emotion. But much like The Sopranos, we need to remember the time prior to that abrupt cut. The good times. So if you're sitting in your office in the middle of the day and need a break, or perhaps you're at your house, and you need to kill five minutes watching a battle equal to Rocky Balboa vs. Apollo Creed, kangaroo style, enjoy this video courtesy of Rodney Langham/ViralHog.

SPOKANE, Wash. - From the outside, the Repeat Boutique looks like a lot of other thrift shops in Spokane.  Inside, some might describe the stuff for sale as old, used, discarded garbage -- but store manager CJ Curtis sees its potential. And just like the goods in her shop, CJ is on her way to a new life, one far from the one she once lived.

SPOKANE, Wash. - "He told me to pull over, and my jaw just dropped," a Spokane woman, who says a fake police officer tried to pull her over, doesn't want to be named. In fear, this could happen again. "It really scared me and kind of threw me off that night. I don't even want to drive by myself anymore," she said. She tells me that she was driving around North Spokane at night on her way home from work.
