Sheriff's Office wants public to be aware of possible lurings in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - The Spokane Valley Police Department and the Spokane County Sheriff's Office want the public to be aware of some suspicious activity and attempted lurings that have happened over the last five weeks in Spokane Valley. 

Deputy Mark Gregory informed KHQ Monday afternoon that within the last five weeks there have been three reports of a man offering rides to girls. Deputy Gregory said one incident the girl was a younger looking adult, and the other two involved two juveniles. Each incident took place between 7:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in the area of East Broadway and East Mission near Barker High School. One of the incidents took place to the east, near Mission and Adams.

The man in all incidents was driving a red "SUV" type vehicle, possibly a Ford. He is described as being in his 40's-50's, about 5'8" - 6'0", 150-200 pounds, with white/grey hair that is balding on top. Witnesses also say he speaks with a heavy accent. 

Deputy Gregory said the Spokane Valley Police Department and the Spokane County Sheriff's Office will increase patrols in the area.
