The Stevens County Sheriff's Office told KHQ they arrested Morgenstern again Wednesday night after they found child pornography during a search of his home.>>

    STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - An emergency room physician at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Spokane was arrested in Stevens County on Monday, accused of child rape.>>
    STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - An emergency room physician at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Spokane was arrested in Stevens County on Monday, accused of child rape. Dr. Craig Morgenstern is being charged with Second Degree Rape of a Child. >>

KHQ.COM - The YMCA has sent out a letter to notify the public that Craig Morgenstern, the VA doctor recently arrested on child pornography and child rape charges, took photos at two YMCA events where children were present. The events include were the Hoops 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and the Valley YMCA Kids Triathlon. 

The note reads was sent out by the CEO of YMCA of the Inland Northwest and reads:

"As you know, we take the safety of our children very seriously. At no time was Dr. Morgenstern contracted by the YMCA for photography purposes. We receive images from many sources, all of whom volunteer their photos.

We have received no notification of any inappropriate behavior in regard to Dr. Morgenstern, however, if you believe there was anything inappropriate, please contact the police at 509-684-5296 or 509-684-2555.

    PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon man hunting for deer near Mt. Hood killed a cougar after he says three of the big cats advanced toward him. KGW-TV reports Bill Nylund of Rhododendron was hunting near Badger Lake earlier this month when the cougars approached. He says the animals didn't appear scared of him, leaving him no choice but to shoot one. He shot an adult female cougar that was about 50 feet (15 meters) away.
