SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

The Spokane Valley marijuana dispensary The Members Lounge is stirring the pot with a controversial decision. They are hosting a Halloween party tonight for kids of all ages.

The catch: There will be no marijuana at that party.

The shop's owner, Eric Buchanan, says they have removed anything having to do with marijuana from the store for the kids' party. At 9 p.m., the shop will open its doors for anyone 21 and older. At that party, marijuana is allowed, as long as the attendees purchase a one-night membership. This way, they say, it is legal for those adults.

Not everyone is in favor of the party. Mike, a parent who preferred not to give his last name, says he would not let his kids go to the party, saying, “No, nor would I let them go to a bar who had an alcohol free party. It just sends the wrong message.”
