SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Spokane County Sheriff's Detectives are investigating a double homicide that happened Saturday night at an apartment complex in Spokane Valley.

Just after 9:30 p.m. 911 received a call stating a man had been shot at the Broadway Square Apartments at Pines and Broadway. When deputies arrived they found a man dead outside of the apartments, and another man dead inside an apartment.

Despite a search by K9 Units and Spokane County Sheriff's Office Air-1, a suspect was not found.

Detectives have been working all weekend, processing the scene and gathering information, however they told KHQ on Monday that information at this time is extremely limited.

Deputy Mark Gregory told KHQ that detectives do not believe these murders were random, and do not believe citizens are in danger.

Although the names of the victims have not been officially released, friends and neighbors have identified the two men, however we are choosing not to disclose those names until we can be sure that next of kin has been notified.

If you have any information about these homicides, you're asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

KHQ.COM - Most mothers can only hope by the time their children grow up and move out of the house, they've learned all the necessary things to be a successful adult, including the basic knowledge that a turkey must be cooked in an oven, or perhaps in a smoker... NOT in a microwave. For this reason a new prank-challenge going around on Facebook is resulting in some hilarious text conversations between mothers and their grown children.
