Detectives hope new tips line will lead them to double murder suspect

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's announced Wednesday she had established a "tip line" where they can receive information regarding major crimes investigations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The messages left on the tip line will be received by the detectives working the cases and the sheriff's office says this will streamline the flow of important information.

The first big case in which detectives are hoping the tips line will be utilized is the double homicide investigation from November 1. On Monday we learned the two victims are brothers, identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner's office as 53-year-old Arturo Gallegos and 44-year-old Juan Gallegos-Rodriquez.

Just after 9:30 p.m. on November 1, 911 received a call stating a man had been shot at the Broadway Square Apartments at Pines and Broadway. When deputies arrived they found a man dead outside of the apartments, and another man dead inside an apartment.

A Sheriff's spokesman said it appears the two brothers were killed "execution style", and called the crime "gruesome". At this point the murderer remains at large, and detectives have not said whether they have any leads.

If you know anything about this case, or any other major crimes investigation, call the newly established tips line: 509-477-3186.
