SPOKANE, Wash. - Tuesday is Veterans Day, when we honor the brave men and women who serve our country in the armed forces, and many businesses are paying their respects to military members with deals and freebies!

It is important to note, that before you try to redeem the deals listed below, it is a good idea to call ahead, as some restrictions may apply. 

Applebee's: Service members get a free "Thank You" mean when dining in, you just need to provide proof of service.

Denny's: Active, inactive and retired military members get a free build-your-own Grand Slam breakfast from 5:00am to noon at participating Denny's.

Red Lobster: Red Lobster says they will be thanking veterans, active duty, active serving military and reservists with a free select appetizer from Monday November 10 to Thursday November 13.

Great Clips: Looking for a trim? Great Clips is offering veterans a free hair cut. Anyone who comes in for a clip on Tuesday, you will get a free haircut card to give to a veteran which is redeemable through December 31, 2014. 

Red Robin: Veterans and active duty service members can get a free Red's Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Fries, by providing a military I.D., proof of service, or by wearing your uniform. 

The Man Shop: Active duty and retired military can receive a complimentary haircut (your choice of a $10/$13 cut) on Veterans Day at any of their five stores (4 in Spokane and 1 in Pullman). You just have to present your military ID at the time of check out. 

Baskin-Robbins: The ice cream shop's flavor of the month is honoring veterans: First Class Camouflage Ice Cream: Chocolate, salty caramel, and cake flavors. 10 cents from the ice cream scoops sold at all U.S. locations will go to the United Service Organizations (USO).

    POST FALLS, Idaho - Kootenai County Deputies arrested a man for involuntary manslaughter after they say he shot and killed another man Saturday evening near Post Falls. Deputies responded to reports of a shooting on Gallatin Way near Post Falls just before 7 pm. Deputies and medical personnel arrived and found a man, identified as Tyler S. Liles, with a single gunshot wound.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police have successfully located and arrested a suspect from a hit-and-run incident on the South Hill Saturday morning. After crashing a Corvette into an SUV near 53rd and Regal, 36-year-old Kristopher Riley fled the scene on foot and left his passenger inside the vehicle. Police say the passenger of the Corvette and driver of the SUV were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Arriving officers found a man who had been stabbed in a parking lot near the intersection.

    BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) - A man was killed on Oregon Route 86 near Baker City while checking the air pressure on his trailer's tires. KBOI reports Dennis Tim Cheney of Walla Walla, Washington had pulled his truck and trailer over on the shoulder of the westbound lane to check tire pressure.    Oregon State Police say another vehicle traveling westbound crossed into the shoulder and hit Cheney.

    One person is dead and three others are injured after an early morning shooting at a nightclub in Lakewood.    Police responded to the scene at New World VIP Lounge at around 1:25 a.m. Sunday. They helped three victims with gunshot wounds and took them to a hospital, where one died of his injuries. Friends took a fourth victim to the hospital.

    HAILEY, Idaho - Actor Bruce Willis has sold his 20-acre (8-hectare) ranch in central Idaho for $5.5 million. KTVB-TV reports in a story on Wednesday that's far below the original asking price of $15 million when the home was put up for sale in 2011. Travis Jones is a listing agent with Engel & Volkers Sun Valley who took over the job of selling the home in the small town of Hailey two years ago.
