SPOKANE, Wash. - Today Show weatherman Al Roker is attempting a major feat this week: a 34 hour weather report!

Al will begin his marathon weathercast on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at 7pm our time, and end on Friday November 14, 2014 at 5 am. 34 hours of straight weather forecasting! The current record stands at 24 hours of uninterrupted live weather, and if you do that math, Al is looking to shatter that by ten hours.

During his attempt, Al will be doing forecasts for stations all across the country, including right here at KHQ. As soon as we get an exact time nailed down, we'll be sure to let you know. But if you want to follow Al on his entire journey, lock the door, grab a 5 pound bag of popcorn, take the phone off the hook (please at least let your loved ones and work know you won't be available for the next 34 hours so they don't worry too much), and sit back and relax by watching Al in the video play embedded in this story!

While you munch down on some p-corn, you can get involved in the event by using the hashtag #Rokerthon on social media! Include the hashtag #KHQ and we'll join you as well!

"That's what's going on around the country, here's what's happening in your neck of the woods."

Good luck Al!
