SPOKANE, Wash. - Friday morning, the Numerica Credit Union in downtown Spokane was robbed, and the FBI believes it is the same man who robbed banks in Seattle and Olympia earlier this year, dubbed "The Roscoe Bandit." The FBI believes the man who robbed Numerica Friday morning is responsible for three other bank robberies.>>
SPOKANE, Wash. - The FBI told KHQ they believe the man responsible for robbing two Seattle banks, a bank in Olympia and then another bank last week in downtown Spokane was arrested in Grants Pass, Oregon Wednesday afternoon.

The robber, nicknamed "The Roscoe Bandit" because of the style of gun used in the robberies. A Federal Arrested Warrant was issued Wednesday morning charging 55-year-old William Mitchell with bank robbery.

Spokane Police Office identified Mitchell after collecting and reviewing surveillance video from the November 7, 2014 robbery at Numerica in downtown Spokane. Based on that video, officers identified a vehicle of interest, which was spotted by Grants Pass Police on Wednesday.

The FBI said Mitchell has a Mississippi identification card, but they aren't sure how authentic it is.

The FBI also said that community assistance played a significant part in the process to catch Mitchell.
