On Tuesday, Lamb's family released this statement about their son's murder to KHQ:

"Our son, brother, friend Zachary Daniel Lamb, age 26, was taken from us all too early. We are truly heartbroken at his loss. He lived larger than life and sometimes to an extreme, an absolutely unique individual in a world that desires conformity. Describing what kind of person Zach was is difficult because he was so complex. He was fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, intelligent, loyal, loud, gregarious, adventurous, loving, compassionate and passionate about life. He gave his whole heart to everything he did; nothing was ever half-way with Zach. His huge smile was genuine, mischievous and contagious. He was the 3rd of five children, 2 older sisters and a younger brother and sister. In the end, how he died shouldn't overshadow the way he lived. He was a great kid, a fine young man with a beautiful heart. We loved him and our memories of him will be with us always. We can only describe him as our greatest challenge and one of our most treasured gifts. And what a wonderful gift he was. We loved him deeply and are so proud of the man he was becoming. We have set up the Zachary Lamb Memorial Fund to help care for his child; donations can be made to any Umpqua Bank branch. We especially want to thank the people in his neighborhood, who ran to him and were with him in his final moments. We feel blessed that he was not alone. Thanks to everyone else for your thoughts, concerns and prayers in this most difficult time for our family."

MUMBAI - A surgical team in India successfully removed a massive brain tumor from a man Thursday, weighing over 4 pounds. It was a lengthy, nearly seven-hour procedure and doctors believe it could be the heaviest ever recorded.  The tumor, which protruded from the top of the man's skull, was so large that it seemed “like a head on top of another head,” Trimurti Nadkarni, head of the neurosurgery department at Nair Hospital, told the Indian Express.
