SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. -

NBC affiliate Action News in Northern California is reporting that one man is dead and 30 others are injured after a tour bus crashed heading from Los Angeles to Pasco, Wash.

The crash happened at 7:41 a.m. in the Pollard Flat area. California Highway Patrol officials say a 33-year-old man was killed and two other people were airlifted to area hospitals. A total of 30 people have been reported injured.

CHP officials say the bus was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 when it ran off the road down an embankment and onto Eagle Roost Road where it rolled over, no other vehicles were involved.

CHP officers say the driver showed signs of fatigue. The bus was reportedly involved in an earlier minor crash this morning at the Red Bluff Denny's around 5 a.m. but only minor property damage was sustained. The driver voluntarily went to CHP headquarters for evaluation and questioning.
