SPOKANE, Wash. -

With another Black Friday in the books, customers packed Spokane stores again to support Small Business Saturday.

It's a day where local shops can get their share of holiday dollars.

Boo Radley's has been open since 1993, and they're hoping to get a big return on this year's Small Business Saturday.

On this day last year, consumers spent about $5.7 billion dollars at local stores.

Many owners said they appreciate all the customers that came out to support them, and that their money is going back to the local economy.

“It's great, when you shop local, everything stays local, its going right back into your local community, in Spokane,” said Todd Kehne, Boo Radley's Assistant Manager.

“It's so amazing to look out the door in the morning, ready to shop, and excited about your business. So I really appreciate that. You work all year to have an event like this,” said Shauna Kennedy-Carr, Those Girls Store Owner.

If you weren't able to participate in Small Business Saturday, you can still help your favorite local business if they have a website.

Cyber Monday is just a few days away.

MUMBAI - A surgical team in India successfully removed a massive brain tumor from a man Thursday, weighing over 4 pounds. It was a lengthy, nearly seven-hour procedure and doctors believe it could be the heaviest ever recorded.  The tumor, which protruded from the top of the man's skull, was so large that it seemed “like a head on top of another head,” Trimurti Nadkarni, head of the neurosurgery department at Nair Hospital, told the Indian Express.
