SPOKANE, Wash. - At the Toys for Tots drop-off, volunteers are busy sorting through donations. Among those volunteers are members of the Marine Corps League, who spent their careers serving America, and are spending their retirements serving their community.  Pat Rowand fought in Vietnam. This is his 11th year as a volunteer for Toys for Tots.

For Pat, and for the other veterans who volunteer, even though their military careers are over, their sense of duty never ends.

"We're all Marines. Whether you're 18, or you're 80, once a Marine, always a Marine. We try to help as much as we can, and it's something that sticks with you forever. I'm retired so I give this 110% for a few months every year," Pat explained.

The volunteers say that because the Inland Northwest has been so generous with their donations, what they need now is for people to come volunteer to distribute those toys.

If you're coming to pick up toys, the new Toys for Tots depot is located at  811 E Sprague.
