SPOKANE, Wash. -

How do you celebrate Christmas? Most spend the holiday surrounded by loved ones but for one family, theirs is spent with strangers and they couldn't feel more at home. For Rachael and Erika Klages, The Union Gospel Mission this time of year feels like that because it was the last place their dad was able to call home. Four years ago Doug Klagas was killed and his body was found in the Disman Hills Natural Area in Spokane Valley.

His family says he had been battling alcoholism and spent his final days at the UGM. The last few years Doug's daughters along with his parents have been honoring his memory by serving Christmas dinner to those less fortunate and needing help like Doug once did.
