 It's easy to get bogged down in bad news and negativity, retired Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield wants you to remain optimistic for the coming year.

In this video, posted to his YouTube channel today, Hadfield focuses on what we're doing right. 

"There are problems with everything and nothing is ever perfect," he says, "but that shouldn't be cause to bemoan. That should be cause to achieve."

The minute-long video is a nice reminder to try to stay positive. With 2014 coming to a close, 2015 holds a lot of possibilities. Watch the video above.
