Gonzaga Bulldogs take down San Diego Toreros 60-48

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -
The Gonzaga Men's Basketball Team held on for a 60-48 win over the University of San Diego Monday to go to 2-0 in the West Coast Conference. The Zags were led by Junior Kyle Wiltjer who had 15 points and 6 rebounds. Seniors Byron Wesley and Kevin Pangos also scored in double digits. Toreros Senior Johnny Dee led all scorers with 20.

The Zags led by 15 at the half, but both teams struggled to score in the second half. The Zags defense came up big, holding USD to under 27 percent shooting from the field for the game. Gonzaga now heads to Portland for a matchup with the Pilots Saturday.

WSP officials said they were working to rescue two people who were trapped as a result of the crash Friday evening. Troopers said two cars were involved and there are serious injuries.  Highway 395 is blocked in both directions. Traffic is being divert southbound at Owens and northbound at Burrows.  Avoid the area if possible.
