The downtown Spokane Daiquiri Factory has filed an appeal the order which evicted them from their downtown location.

The Daiquiri Factory officially shut its doors in June, about 5 months after making national headlines with one of its drink names. The bar had been promoting a drink called "Date Grape Kool-Aid". The name outraged many people, and a lot of them took their rage online urging people to avoid the bar, even creating a Facebook page called "Boycott the Spokane Daiquiri Factory." The owner, Jamie Pendleton refused to change the drink name for weeks, before finally relenting and changing the name to Grape Q-Laid.

The appeal of their eviction is just one in a series of legal drama involving the Daiquiri Factory. Gonzaga University sued Pendleton, to keep him from using its logo and mascot in advertising. In September a judge ruled in favor of Gonzaga.

Pendleton has always said he plans to open another Daiquiri Factory.
