SPOKANE, Wash. -

One local business is still cleaning up after a bad crash. Police say around 3:30 Thursday afternoon, a man lost control of his SUV while he tried to stop for a car that was turning in front of him, crashing into a building. The driver wasn't hurt, and the people inside sustained only minor injuries.  Skiles was working in his office, when the car crashed into it.

"I was standing right here in front of my machine and he came through the wall here," he recalled, gesturing to what remained of his office. The man who spends his time repairing people's glasses, is now going to need some repair help himself. The owners boarded up the hole in the wall with plywood, and closed for the day. A sign on the front of the builbuildingounces, " "A car drove through the building. We are closed at this time. We are so sorry. We plan to open ASAP."

Although his office and his equipment are badly damaged, Skiles feels fortunate to be okay. He has a gash on his face, some swelling near his neck, and a cracked rib. With the help of his family, his wife and his employees, they're working through the weekend to get the shop back open by Monday.
