DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police in Georgia say after pointing a gun in the face of a pizza delivery driver, the would-be robber had the tables turned on him and was shot in the face.

Capt. Stephen Fore with the DeKalb County Police Department said when the Papa John's delivery driver arrived at a location, she saw a man approach he car and she thought he was there to pick up the pizza. However, when the man reached the car, he pulled out a gun and forced the driver out of the vehicle and on to the ground.

The delivery driver however had a handgun of her own in her pocket and was able to reach for it and shoot the suspect.

That suspect, 24-year-old Donquaz Stevenson, was found in a nearby yard with a gunshot wound to his face. Police say a second suspect jumped into the delivery driver's car and took off after the shooting.

Police also say they believe the delivery was a setup from the beginning.

In speaking with local media, the mother of the delivery driver said her daughter is still in shock about the encounter, and her family is worried she may lose her job because she was carrying a gun at work. So far there has been no comment from Papa John's.
