Sheriff: Kellogg High School student arrested in connection to hit list did not violate release conditions

Posted: Updated:
KELLOGG, Idaho -

After being contacted by concerned parent and citizens in Kellogg, Shoshone County Sheriff Mitch Alexander issued a statement clarifying that the Kellogg High School student arrested for allegedly creating a hit list has not violated the conditions of their release.

Sheriff Alexander's message reads:

"I would like to update the citizens and parents of the Kellogg High School hit list case. I have received several calls about a possible violation that occurred yesterday that was posted on the Kellogg Police Department's facebook page. I spoke to Probation and Parole this morning who stated that the home monitoring device was malfunctioning yesterday and a new one is now in use. The student in question has not violated the conditions of their release. The student is not allowed to leave a 300 foot perimeter around their home and is only allowed to leave with parents for certain appointments. The post on Kellogg site was inaccurate and has since been taken down."

MUMBAI - A surgical team in India successfully removed a massive brain tumor from a man Thursday, weighing over 4 pounds. It was a lengthy, nearly seven-hour procedure and doctors believe it could be the heaviest ever recorded.  The tumor, which protruded from the top of the man's skull, was so large that it seemed “like a head on top of another head,” Trimurti Nadkarni, head of the neurosurgery department at Nair Hospital, told the Indian Express.
