Man turns $119K Tesla into a hotel

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX, Arizona-  It's cozy, all electric, roomy, and very exclusive. Tesla owner Steve Sasman has turned his $119,000 car into one of the hottest hotels in Arizona.  "I've already slept in this thing 3 times," says Sasman.

As a part-time Uber driver, Sasman gets a lot of business, and after showing his customers around town, they get an added perk if they need a place to stay.  "You know, if you want to set a nice mood in there. You get a premium air bed. This thing is top of the line. It's a full size airbed that comes with all the linens."

At $85 a night, which includes 2 remote control candles, Sasman says the world's first Tesla hotel brings a different experience to the hotel industry.

He's advertised it as the fastest hotel in the world online and right now he's still looking for people to take in the experience. "No takers yet. But you know, it's only a matter of time."

Sasman wants to give people a feel for a car that might otherwise be out of their reach. "To sleep in it one night is to maybe give somebody a taste. They get to spend some time in the car, experience it without actually buying it."
