SPOKANE, Wash. -

The northbound lanes of Maple Street were briefly shut down Tuesday night after a hit-and-run crash happened on the bridge, just before the intersection with Mallon.

Spokane Police say the driver of a Durango SUV was headed southbound on the bridge when they crossed into the northbound lanes and crashed into a sedan. The driver of the sedan was taken to the hospital, but doctors say that person should be OK.

Officers are still looking for the driver of the SUV and they're not sure if she ran off or got into another vehicle. The northbound lanes were reopened shortly after 9 p.m.
