KHQ is in Arizona all week to cover the Seahawks taking on the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX!.

While Sunday is shaping up to be fun, our reporters also look forward to Tuesday, because it's Media Day. It's their chance to talk with some of the players and coaches, as well as mingle with fellow journalists from around the country.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - The Upriver/Beacon fire's forward progress has been stopped, according to firefighters on scene. Containment is at 0 percent, but crews have a good line around the fire. The fire began just before 4:00 am when firefighters responded to a structure fire.

    South Dakota mom sentenced for killing son who wet the bed

    A South Dakota woman accused of beating her 2-year-old son to death after he wet his bed has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison.    Thirty-year-old Katrina Shangreaux, of Porcupine on the Pine Ridge Reservation, pleaded guilty in March to second-degree murder in the July 2016 death of 2-year-old Kylen Shangreaux. She was sentenced Tuesday.

    Connecticut woman finds deadly spider in grocery store grapes

    A Connecticut woman says she found a black widow spider in a package of grapes from the grocery store.    The woman says she bought the organic grapes from a Stop & Shop in Branford on Monday morning, and she and her 11-year-old son were eating the grapes together when they found the spider.    The woman says the venomous spider didn't bite, and the store offered her a full refund. She declined to give her name.
