(KHQ MD)- Bone broth has been around for longer than many of us can remember, but now the food staple is steadily becoming the latest trend for foodies and those looking to lead healthier lifestyles. In some places across the United States, bone broth has replaced espresso and other caffeinated beverages as the go to drink of choice.

Believers in what may soon be called the next superfood say bone broth helps relieve bone, stomach and skin ailments, but medical experts haven't confirmed these claims to be 100% true. One thing is for sure, the surge of popularity in bone broth is bringing big profits to businesses.

    Gap Inc. is considering closing hundreds of it's stores across the country as sales continue to slide.  The store known for low prices on clothing had a downturn of 7% in the third quarter despite 7 consecutive quarters of positive growth. Gap Inc. CEO Art Peck says the company may have "kicked the can down the road" on Gap closings, and now may be the time to close stores to help the company stay healthy.

Spokane Police are searching for an armed and dangerous man they say shot and killed one man and injured a woman Tuesday night in northeast Spokane. Officers were called to a home on N. Stone near Chief Garry Park just before 10:00pm. A woman called and said her ex-boyfriend was trying to break into the home and had been known to be armed in the past.

    MISSOULA - A Montana inmate says the Missoula County jail is violating his constitutional right to freedom of religion by not letting him smoke marijuana. The Missoulian reported Tuesday that 34-year-old Adam Owen Grady filed a complaint in federal court, citing a Bible verse that says God gave people "every herb bearing seed."
