SPOKANE, Wash. - Nearly a month after changing his plea to guilty in the death of 88-year-old Delbert "Shorty" Belton, Kenan Adams-Kinard is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday afternoon.

Under a plea deal agreed to in January, Adams-Kinard faces anywhere from 20-27 years in prison. If Kinard receives the minimum sentence, he would be 37-years-old when released.

Following Adams-Kinard's plea deal, the second suspect in the case, Demetrius Glenn, had his trial pushed back until March.

Glenn and Kinard were both arrested in connection to the August 2013 murder. Belton was found badly beaten in his car in north Spokane and died a short time later from his injuries.
