PORT ANGELES, Wash. -

Health officials say unvaccinated students at a private Christian school in the Port Angeles, Washington, area are being quarantined after a 5-year-old student was diagnosed with measles.

The Clallam County health department said Friday that Olympic Christian School students who can't show proof of measles immunity must stay home and avoid public places through Feb. 27.

The Peninsula Daily News reports that students and teachers with proof of immunity can return to school Tuesday.

The little girl is the second measles case on the north Olympic Peninsula. Public health official Dr. Tom Locke says a 52-year-old Clallam County man has recovered. Health officials say the little girl had been in contact with the man but no specifics were given.

State health officials earlier said the Clallam County man was the fourth Washington resident confirmed with measles this year.

The Seattle Times reports that state health records show 115 students at Olympic Christian. It appears that about 18 have documents on file exempting them from vaccinations.
