SPOKANE, Wash. - According Sacred Heart Hospital, the pilot of the plane that crashed Sunday afternoon in east Spokane died on Tuesday. 


61-year-old Michael Clements of Stony Plain, Alberta took off from Felts Field Sunday afternoon and a short time later crashed his plane in east Spokane. The plane banked left, and appeared to be heading toward a building, before banking right and crashing at a railroad viaduct. Witnesses and officers with the Spokane Police Department removed Clements from the upside-down cockpit. Clements was taken to the hospital and remained in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries on Tuesday. 


The FAA continues to investigate the crash.

    COLFAX, Wash. (AP) - A woman accused of fatally shooting a Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, man in Colfax, Washington, has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity. The Spokesman-Review reports Ashley Myers entered the plea to second-degree murder Friday in Whitman County Superior Court.    Insanity pleas allow for the defense to argue for a potential commitment to a psychiatric facility instead of prison.

Allen, who was an avid sports fan, owned the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle Seahawks
