SPRAGUE, Wash. -

In an exclusive interview with KHQ's Dylan Wohlenhaus, Bobbi Doughty, the care taker of the three children one of whom was nearly abducted, speaks out.

"They have went to that park for a little over a year and a half by themselves." Doughty says. She lives less than a block away from the park in Sprague. The children, ages 10, 8 and 22 month old Owen Wright, were playing at the park alone when the near abduction happened. "They always go as a group and always come back as a group." Doughty says. Doughty is a family friend of the Wright family and says she has watched the kids several times over the past few years.

When asked if she blames herself at all Doughty tells KHQ "Of course I do. I have no choice. This is my fault, I take full blame for this." Doughty says. "They have always gone to the park. There have never been any stranger danger around. I have always instilled that in to their minds. So have their parents."

Sprague is a small town of about 450 people. Many neighbors were surprised something like this could have happened in their small town in a park where many kids go to play.

"I have the kids out here every other weekend. I can't do it anymore." Doughty says. She says she is afraid something like this could happen again. "This has been very tough and I feel very bad about this.

The Wright family says they do not place all the blame on Doughty. She has been a longtime family friend. Mike Wright the father of 22 month old Owen who was nearly abducted says there "may be trust issues" but for the most part he says he's just glad to have his son Owen back home safe. When KHQ talked with Doughty it was the first she had heard of the arrest. "I am so grateful they got somebody else off the street that could cause our kids this harm" Doughty says.
