Spokane's Brenna Yaeger talks about 'The Voice'

Posted: Updated:
KHQ - The Wake Up Show got a special treat on Thursday, March 12th. Brenna Yaeger stopped by to talk with Kalae Chok about how her experience has been so far on NBC's hit show, "The Voice."

If you're not a fan of "The Voice," it's time to become one because Brenna is from Spokane and she needs all her local fans rooting for her. Her blind audition performance was on Tuesday, March 3rd and she managed to wow a couple of the judges to earn a spot on the show.

Brenna is a Mead High School graduate and when she is not performing at bars and local bars and other venues, she works at The General Store on Division as a cashier. Brenna grew up with her four older sisters and younger brother in a log cabin that her dad built for the family with his own two hands but when her parents got divorced, her family had to sell the house, something she knows broke her dad's heart.

Knowing this about her past, it was fitting that for her blind audition performance, Brenna sang "The House That Built Me" by Miranda Lambert. The song is so near and dear to her heart that she and her sisters have the song tattooed on their feet. During her incredible performance, Brenna managed to get Adam and Blake to turn around, in the end choosing Miranda Lambert's husband to be her coach.

Go Brenna Yaeger and Go Team Blake!
