BAY VILLAGE, Ohio-  A young black lab is safe after spending days trapped on the ice of Lake Erie.  The dog, named Kimberly, had been spotted by nearby residents for several days. The Coast Guard and local rescue crews tried to rescue the pooch but she kept running away.

NBC station WKYC partnered with a local air-boat company to look for the dog.  When they found Kimberly, she ran towards them and jumped in the air-boat.  She was later reunited with her grateful owner.
