KHQ.COM - -

A single mother in Eastern Washington discovered Wednesday that she's renting a home that was listed on an ISIS 'hit list.'

The so called hit list was posted online last week, and since then, government officials have notified all 100 military personnel members who appear on it.

But this single mother, who asked to remain anonymous, didn't receive a call, because she's not actually on the list. She just happens to be renting a home that belongs to one of the military men who was threatened.

She only discovered the connection after she found a business card from the Spokane Sheriff's Department's Joint Terrorism Task Force wedged in her front door.

"Just confusion," she explained. "I didn't know what to think."

She moved into the home Saturday, and still has dozens of boxes and bags waiting to be unpacked. Her three kids' rooms are bare, with only beds for them to sleep.

She spent much of Wednesday catching up on the story. According to NBC News, the 'hit list' asks ISIS sympathizers to take action against the military personnel on the list as retribution for attacks against the terrorist organization. So far none of the 100 people on the list have been harmed.

"It's kind of thrown my world into a little bit of a tailspin right now," she said.

She plans to wait a few days and gather more information rather than making any rash decision. She loves the quiet neighborhood where she lives, and wouldn't want to move her kids unless she has to.

But she can't help but panic when someone has threatened the quiet life she's still unpacking.

"I've worked a long time to get to this point and to stabilize our lives," she said. "And so it's definitely a bit of a blow to know that something that was supposed to be a very positive thing in our life kind of has a dark cloud over it now."
