SPOKANE, Wash. -

With both the men's and women's teams in the sweet 16 this year, students are divided over whether or not to make the trip too.

The Gonzaga Athletic Ticket Office had 600 tickets for fans, and those were all sold out by Wednesday morning. But several students on campus said they are going to stay in Spokane to cheer on the Zags.

"It'd be awesome to go, but it's really expensive. My parents are going. I'm super jealous. I wish I could be there, but I'm going to for sure be watching it on TV," said Christo Michaelson.

"I'm going to the women's game. I know a lot of people in the Gonzaga community. It's a huge advantage for us to be here. So I think it's going to be a great showing for Gonzaga," said Katie Mincin.

"The Spokane community that can't get to Houston to watch the men will be able to watch the men's game Friday night, then turn around Saturday, go down to the Spokane Arena and cheer on the ladies," said Athletic Director Mike Roth.

"Whether it's men's or it's women's we don't look at it as who's playing. We look at it as NCAA basketball," said Matt Gibson, Spokane Arena General Manager.

As of Wednesday morning, the arena sold about 7,000 tickets. The arena can fit 11,500 people.

"Since Sunday we've sold about 2,700 tickets more than what we had been. So we're looking at getting close to a full house, we still have a ways to go," said Gibson.

Tickets to the Women's Spokane Regional at the Spokane Arena are on-sale now. All-Session tickets are $45.00 and $35.00 each and include ALL three games of the Regional. All guests must have a ticket for admission regardless of age. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Spokane Arena Box Office at West 720 Mallon Avenue, online at TicketsWest.com or by phone at 800-325-SEAT. Box office hours are Monday-Friday from 10:00 am-6:00 pm.
