SPOKANE, Wash. -

Newly released court documents spell out a scary situation for a 13-year-old girl outside of the Shadle-area Walmart in Spokane Friday afternoon. According to the 13-year-old girl, 51-year-old Keith Hooks approached her Friday at 2:05 p.m. while she was sitting with a friend outside the Starbucks at W. 2401 Wellesley Avenue.

She says Hooks walked up to her table and tried to make small talk. She says she left the table and walked toward Glover Middle School. Hooks, she says, followed her and wouldn't leave her alone, despite repeated requests for him to do so. She says Hooks asked if she wanted to go behind Walmart and have sex with him. She refused and started quickly walking away. But, she says, Hooks then grabbed her arm and refused to let go. She says he grabbed her breast with his right hand and squeezed it. She told him to stop, then called 911.

When a Spokane Police officer arrived on scene, he saw Hooks with his arm around the young girl. He told the victim to walk away from Hooks, which she did. But then he says Hooks followed her. He told Hooks to stay away from the girl, then arrested Hooks for Indecent Liberties and Unlawful Imprisonment.

Hooks later told officers he thought the young girl was cold, and had his arm around her to warm her up. But police say the surveillance video from Walmart tells a very different story. They say it shows the girl trying to spin away from Hooks, and Hooks jumping in front of her, forcing her to veer to the right. They say it also shows Hooks reaching out and grabbing her, and the girl trying to walk quickly away from Hooks, who walks even more quickly to catch up to her.

Hooks remains in the Spokane County Jail.
