SPOKANE, Wash. -

Former Spokane Veteran Affairs physician Craig Morgenstern may have traveled to Mississippi and filmed pornographic movies with children, according to new federal court documents filed this week.

The 46-year-old was arrested and put in jail in October after a 13-year-old boy said the doctor drugged and sexually assaulted him at Morgenstern's home in Nine Mile Falls. Further investigation showed there were likely other child victims, some in Meridian, Mississippi. Morgenstern worked as a physician in Mississippi before moving to the Spokane area.

Morgenstern is also accused of crossing the Washington-Idaho state line to film pornographic movies with several young victims, some under the age of 12.

The latest indictment says between 2008 and 2011 Morgenstern repeatedly traveled to Mississippi to have sex with victims under the age of 16-years-old.

He now faces 14 counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, 18 counts of production or attempted production of child pornography, and 2 counts of transportation with the intent to engage in sexual contact with a child.

Morgenstern remains behind bars at the Spokane County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges Wednesday afternoon.
