COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The Coeur d'Alene Police Department and the community set up a lemonade stand Saturday pay forward the actions of a little girl with a big heart. Cookies, donuts, cupcakes and of course lemonade were on sale at the stand, all to return the support of a little girl named Kiyana Kirk showed to the Coeur d'Alene Police Department and the family of Sgt. Greg Moore after his death in early May.

Kiyana set up a lemonade stand, raised $200 and donated it to Sgt. Moor's family. But just three weeks later, Kiyana and her family faced a tragedy of their own when her father was killed in a car wreck. Jeff Kirk was a single father who had been raising 10-year-old Kiyana and 4-year-old twins Robert and Reed.

"If we can do something today by selling lemonade and a few cookies for Kiyana, we want to do that," says Sgt. Christie Wood with the Coeur d'Alene Police Department.

People began showing up to the lemonade stand an hour before it was set to open, showing a tremendous outpouring of support for the Kirk family.

Steve Widmyer, Mayor of Coeur d'Alene, says that's what the community is all about.

"Coeur d'Alene is a city of a big heart."

There is no official word on how much was raised at the lemonade stand Saturday, but a GoFundMe account has been set up for the Kirks. To donate, go here: http://www.gofundme.com/wvq4y8
