Sheriff Chris Nocco devises a plan with Spencer Holt to fight off the zombie invasion Sheriff Chris Nocco devises a plan with Spencer Holt to fight off the zombie invasion
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -

A 7-year-old boy in Florida recently helped the Pasco County Police Department in Florida fight off a zombie invasion.

Spencer Holt spends most of his time in hospitals in pain with IV's hooked up to him. He is suffering from a terminal illness, but this week he broke free from the hospital and had his dream come true: He became a deputy.

Spencer arrived at the station and was given a model patrol car when a SWAT member ran into the room in a panic to announce that zombies had taken over the jail and there were too many for all of the deputies on duty to fight off. The Pasco County Sheriff knew they would need help, so he quickly deputized Spencer and they drew up a plan to battle the zombie invasion.

Armed with his "zombie gun", Spencer walked through the halls of the jail and fought off the attacking zombies.

"I think for Spencer, you know, he's gonna remember this day. As much as it meant to him, I think it meant a lot more to us," Sheriff Chris Nocco said.

PULLMAN, Wash. - Six-year-old Denny Curran should be enjoying his last few days of summer before first grade. He should be teasing his brother, splashing in the pool, giving his parents a hard time about vegetables. Instead, Denny is dead, the victim of a horrific, freak bicycle accident that could happen to your child too. "Denny was an extraordinary child," his father Keith Curran told KHQ.
