SPOKANE, Wash. -

A cyber tip to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office Sexual Assault Unit has led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Spokane man.

Detective Scott Streltzoff received a tip involving depictions of minors involved in sexually explicit conduct from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Detective Streltzoff began investigating where the images came from, which led him to 28-year-old Steven C. Harris Jr. During an interview this week, detectives learned Harris admittedly possessed and disseminated several photos of minors engaged in sexual activity. After the interview, Harris was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail for Possessing Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct and Dealing Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct.

Harris was released the next day after posting bond.

Detectives believe Harris may have been involved in similar illegal behavior that may not have been reported. They are asking if you recognized Harris and have any information regarding this investigation or inappropriate conduct regarding Harris to call Detective Streltzoff at 509-477-3218.
