Playboy says it will stop publishing nude photos

Posted: Updated:
You won't find any naked women in the pages of Playboy. You won't find any naked women in the pages of Playboy.

Are you an "I only read Playboy for the articles" person? Well, apparently it is time to put your money where your mouth is because that's apparently all you're going to be able to find in the magazine.

Playboy announced that as of March 2016, you will no longer find photos of fully nude women. Notice the wording in that sentence. "Fully nude women." If you're still looking for women in "provocative poses", you're still in luck.

Playboy without nudes? Isn't that like KFC without chicken? Perhaps, but the writing on the wall has been there for a while now. Last year, the magazine's website banned images of full nudity, too.

In an interview with The New York TimesPlayboy CEO Scott Flanders said there's an entirely different political and sexual climate now than there was in 1963 when the magazine was founded. Flanders also noted that with the internet, "you're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free."

What do you think? Is Playboy making the right decision and evolving with the times, or will this be the death of the iconic bunny? Let us know on our Facebook page.
